Giant Boulder
Safedem have helped out the local Brunswick Community Centre in the Balornock area by removing one of the giant boulders from outside 21 Birnie Court and relocating it outside the centre. The boulder weighs around 6 tonne and will have a plaque attached to it to commemorate the people who were kept as prisoners of war in Brunswick, Germany and without whom this centre would never have been built.
Balornock Community Allotments Association
Safedem has presented a cheque for £500 to Balornock Community Allotments Association to enhance the programmes they are currently running within the local community. Local children learn to sow and grow their own produce, and then have the opportunity to cook and eat them.
