10-30 Petershill Court and 153-213 Petershill Drive are just 2 of 8 Multi-storey flats that make up the Red Road flats. These 2 blocks are known as slab blocks and reach between 25 to 27 storeys high. The tower blocks are located in Balornock in the northeast of Glasgow. The buildings were constructed between 1962 and 1969 and are of steel construction.
There are 312 flats in each slab block and these have been home to hundreds of families over the years.
Both buildings will be demolished by the controlled use of explosives.
